About GeWo Sniper

GeWo Sniper is an independent search and aggregation service for publicly available housing offers, with a focus on cooperative and subsidized housing.

How it works

The service regularly checks configured public provider pages and converts factual listing information into a common searchable format.

• It indexes publicly accessible housing offers from configured providers.
• It stores normalized factual metadata such as provider, source link, title, address, rooms, area, rent, financing contribution, availability, and detection timestamps.
• Where configured, saved searches can trigger Telegram notifications about matching new or changed offers.
• Applications and further details take place on the original provider website.

Beta scope

This beta is a monitoring aid. Provider pages can change, scrapers can temporarily fail, and an offer can disappear before the next check. Users must verify all information and eligibility requirements with the original provider.

Open-source background

GeWo Sniper contains MIT-licensed code derived from the original GeWoScout project and separate new GeWo Sniper contributions. Original and third-party notices are preserved in the repository license files.
